ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, the Astar network has proposed a significant reform of its token economic model, planning to shift ASTR from a dynamic inflation model to a fixed supply cap model. The proposal sets the max supply at approximately 10.5 billion ASTR, introducing an exponential decay formula to gradually reduce token issuance, and will be fully implemented by September 2026.

Astar optimizes its dynamic Token economic model through governance updates, adjusting the Token rewards mechanism to enhance long-term stability. The stake rewards are reduced to 10%, with the adjustable portion increased to 55%, aimed at stabilizing yields and reducing token issuance. This update aims to improve long-term economic stability.

Astar Network recently proposed a plan on the X platform to optimize the ASTR tokenomics and dApp stake mechanism, aiming to drop the inflation rate, stabilize the annual yield, and enhance network sustainability. The proposal suggests adjusting the stake rewards ratio, lowering the base staker rewards to 10% and increasing the floating staker rewards to 55%, in order to stabilize the APR at around 50%.
