Odaily Planet Daily News Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire wrote on X platform that EURC is currently the largest euro stablecoin in terms of volume and on-chain forex usage, growing rapidly this year by adhering to clear and fair European regulations (along with USDC). More and more exchanges and wallets are supporting EURC. Earlier today, Tether announced the suspension of its EURT stablecoin.

Tether announced that it will stop supporting EUR₮ in 2022 and cease processing new issuance requests in response to the uncertain regulatory environment in Europe. Tether will support the new Compliance projects EURQ and USDQ, and provide efficient Compliance support for asset issuance. Existing users need to complete the redemption operation before November 27, 2025.

PANews August 4th news, according to the Tether transparency page, as of now, the net circulation of Tether Euro stablecoin EURT has reached 29,141,478.77 Euros, and the net circulation of USDT has reached 114,527,666,301.35 US dollars.

Tether announced that it will cease the conversion of USDT or EURT on Omni, Kusama, SLP, EOS, and Algorand on September 1, 2025, and freeze all remaining USDT or EURT. Customers holding these assets should redeem them or request on-chain issuance in supported blocks as soon as possible. Non-customer USDT or EURT holders can migrate their assets to supported on-chain blocks according to the terms of the respective service provider.
