According to Golden Finance, Loopring has released a multi-network Loopring smart wallet, which will be launched with the Taiko mainnet in a few days. Users will be able to deploy multiple smart accounts with the same address on multiple networks. All accounts are managed by a unique EOA wallet.

The upgrade will be conducted at a later time, and the upgrade date will be announced in advance. Please note that this security vulnerability does not affect the security of the smart contract, both existing and new smart contracts are secure. On June 9th, Loopring disclosed that some smart wallets were hacked. This attack compromised Loopring protocol's 2FA service, allowing hackers to impersonate wallet owners and obtain official guardians' approval for recovery.

Golden Finance reported that according to Cyvers _s monitoring, the Ethereum Layer 2 protocol Loopring announced that their smart contract wallet was only attacked by one guardian. The attack allowed the hacker to impersonate the wallet owner and obtain recovery approval from the official guardian by intruding into Loopring's 2FA service. Then, the attacker transferred the assets from the invaded wallet to an address belonging to the hacker. All stolen digital assets have been converted to ETH, and the address currently holds 1373 ETH, worth over 5 million dollars. Golden Finance previously reported that Loopring表四, some smart wallets were attacked by vulnerabilities, and they are working with law enforcement and security teams to track down the attackers.

A few hours ago, some Loopring smart wallets encountered security vulnerabilities. This attack specifically targeted wallets with only one Guardian, especially those using the official Loopring Guardian. The hacker initiated a recovery process, pretending to be the wallet owner to reset ownership and withdraw assets. This attack successfully disrupted the 2FA service of the Loopring protocol, allowing the hacker to impersonate the wallet owner and obtain approval from the official guardian for recovery. Subsequently, the attacker transferred the assets out of the affected wallets. We are actively working with Mist security experts to determine how our 2FA service was compromised. To protect users, operations related to Guardian and 2FA have been temporarily suspended. After this action, the attack has stopped. The Loopring protocol is working with law enforcement agencies and professional security teams to track down the attackers. Once the investigation progresses, we will continue to provide updates.
