The tariff impact on Japanese beef exports has led some Japanese companies to increase prices for American beef exports by over 50%.

Jin10 Data, May 10, reported by Japan Broadcasting Corporation, that the United States has significantly raised the import tariffs on Japanese Wagyu beef. In April, the United States announced a 10% "minimum benchmark tariff" on trade partners, which undoubtedly worsened the export situation for Japanese Wagyu beef. A Japanese Wagyu brand producer is closely following the developments in the Japan-U.S. tariff negotiations. The company originally planned to fully launch exports to the U.S. this year, but if the U.S. tariffs officially take effect, its Wagyu products will face a price increase of over 50%.
