Genesis opens VIRTUAL Token stake, introduces veVIRTUAL mechanism and adjusts points distribution method.
According to Mars Finance news, the Genesis project has officially opened the staking function for its VIRTUAL Token. Users can now stake VIRTUAL to obtain veVIRTUAL, which represents the user's long-term support for the protocol and future governance rights. The amount of veVIRTUAL depends on the amount of staked VIRTUAL and the lock-up duration (up to two years), and it will linearly decay over time. The points distribution mechanism of the Virtuals ecosystem will be adjusted accordingly, and in the future, 20% of Virgen Points will be distributed to veVIRTUAL holders. In addition, holding veVIRTUAL will also qualify participants for the Genesis Airdrop.
