According to Techub News and Cointelegraph, Optimism will update its governance system again to achieve higher Decentralization. The Optimism team stated that as part of the "season 8" reforms, changes effective on August 1 will introduce stakeholder voting, a public definition of identification, and an automatic approval process for proposals.
The Optimism team stated that it has created four stakeholder groups, including token holders, end users, applications, and blockchains, to ensure that all groups can vote on governance proposals. Optimism is still governed by a bicameral system, including the Token House and the Citizens’ House. In addition, Optimism now has a publicly defined identification that can be verified on-chain, and it is divided into three categories: end users, applications, and blockchains. However, the team also mentioned that the identification "is currently still in the experimental stage" and does not guarantee its continued validity in future updates.
