Japan's fiscal year 2025 salary increase has been revised down to 5.25%, remaining above 5% for two consecutive years.

Jin10 reported on July 3rd that RENGO, Japan's largest trade union organization, stated that the final data shows an average salary increase of 5.25% for the fiscal year 2025. This figure is lower than the second round data of 5.40%. Analysts from the financial website Forexlive noted that revisions tend to be downward, but this is still better than the 5.10% wage increase for the fiscal year 2024. Regardless, this still marks the second consecutive year that the average wage increase exceeds 5%.
