China Steel Association: In late July, the key statistics for steel enterprises showed a steel inventory of 14.78 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%.

Jin10 data reported on August 6, the China Iron and Steel Association's key statistics show that the steel inventory of steel enterprises in late July was 14.78 million tons, a decrease of 880,000 tons compared to the previous period, down 5.6%; an increase of 2.41 million tons compared to the beginning of the year, a rise of 19.5%; a decrease of 670,000 tons compared to the same period last month, down 4.3%; a decrease of 1.27 million tons compared to the same period last year, down 7.9%; and an increase of 290,000 tons compared to the same period two years ago, a rise of 2.0%. Among the six major regions, except for North China and Northwest regions where key statistical enterprises' steel inventory increased compared to the previous period, and the Southwest region which remained basically flat compared to the previous period, other regions have all seen varying degrees of decline.
