Pai Dun: Cryptocurrency Hacker attacks in 2024 resulted in losses exceeding $3 billion, approximately 15% rise from $2.61 billion in 2023

PANews, January 9th - According to PeckShieldAlert monitoring, hacker activity related to cryptocurrency has significantly increased in 2024, with a total loss of over $3.01 billion throughout the year, a rise of approximately 15% compared to $2.61 billion in 2023. Among them, hacker attacks accounted for a loss of $2.15 billion, while fraudulent activities resulted in a loss of $834.5 million. It is worth noting that approximately $488.5 million of stolen encryption assets have been recovered.
