British media: Musk calls for California and Delaware to force the auction of OpenAI shares
On January 10th, according to the Financial Times, Elon Musk's lawyer called on the attorneys general of California and Delaware to compel OpenAI to auction off a large number of its shares in the company, intensifying the fierce struggle with the company's CEO, Sam Altman. The report stated that Musk's lawyer, Marc Toberoff, representing a large artificial intelligence investor, wrote to the top legal officials of each state expressing the hope to participate in an open and competitive bidding process for OpenAI's equity. A person familiar with OpenAI's thinking revealed that OpenAI does not have such an auction plan. They added that the Musk camp just "wants to create more chaos".
