With the surge in online activity, Avalanche's volume reached 1 million.
Gate News bot message, Avalanche (AVAX) is experiencing a significant on-chain recovery, with trading and user metrics reaching levels not seen in over a year. The 7-day moving average (7DMA) of on-chain transactions has risen to over 1 million, a substantial increase from 296,000 in early May.
At the beginning of May, Avalanche's on-chain activity was relatively flat. By mid-month, the daily average transaction volume had more than doubled, reaching nearly 700,000 transactions. Although the growth rate slowed down for a time, it reignited at the beginning of June. From May 31 to mid-June, the 7DMA transaction volume soared again from 400,000 to 1,000,000 transactions, setting a new high point in over 12 months.
The surge in trading activity has also impacted fees. The 7DMA average transaction fee for Avalanche has doubled during the same period, rising from 0.0035 AVAX at the beginning of May to the current 0.0072 AVAX, indicating a growing demand for on-chain space.
Although the trading volume has risen steadily, the number of active addresses has shown a more volatile trend. At the beginning of May, the 7DMA active wallet count on Avalanche skyrocketed from 40,000 to nearly 296,000, with a total of 3.6 million monthly active wallets reaching a record high.
This number exceeds the historical record of 3.09 million set by the chain in December 2021.
However, since the peak, the number of daily active addresses has significantly declined and is currently hovering around 68,000.
Avalanche's recent activity indicates a renewed interest in the network, with record numbers of active addresses and transaction volumes showing an increasing level of user engagement. Whether this momentum can be sustained into the second quarter may depend on ongoing user adoption and the network's ability to convert this rise into long-term growth.
