Developers earned 1 million dollars after a few hours of launching Viral Memecoin
According to blockchain data, a new memecoin called POPE has stirred controversy after its developers allegedly earned around 1 million dollars within two hours of its launch. This coin is inspired by a viral meme featuring Donald Trump dressed as the Pope, which helped its creators quickly profit. Before launching, the developers created a new wallet, using 100,000 USDC to buy 5.8 million POPE tokens and started selling when the price soared. They sold 1.5 million tokens when POP reached $0.286, yielding nearly $688,000 in profit. The wallet still holds about $286,000 in tokens, raising doubts about the legitimacy of the project. Although POPE attracts attention from the Trump meme, it has no official connection with the former president and poses significant risks for investors.
