Internet celebrity Haliey Welch ("Hawk Tuah" girl) apologizes for the Meme coin eyewash.

According to Mars Finance, on May 7th, Decrypt reported that American internet celebrity Haliey Welch recently publicly apologized for the misuse of her name in the issuance of Meme coins due to the viral "Hawk Tuah" internet memes. Previously, several unauthorized "Hawk Tuah" Tokens were issued on the Solana blockchain and executed a Rug Pull, resulting in losses for investors.

Welch emphasized in the statement:

I have never authorized or participated in any cryptocurrency issuance.

Express condolences to the victims' encounters.

Have hired a lawyer to handle the infringement issue.

Data shows that at least 5 tokens with the same name have experienced a Rug Pull, with the largest scam reaching a market value of 58 million USD. Experts warn that internet meme coins associated with celebrities carry extremely high risks, and investors should be vigilant against fraudulent projects that exploit celebrity effects.
