Original | Odaily Daily Report (@OdailyChina)
Author|Golem(@web3_golem)
On May 16, the popular RWA public chain Pharos announced the launch of its public testnet, attracting widespread attention from the market. Pharos also launched a series of testnet tasks, and user participation has been very high. According to data disclosed by the official source, over 110,000 real users flooded in within just 24 hours of the testnet release.
RWA is still a hot topic this year. As a new generation high-performance RWA public chain, Pharos has a very high level of usability. Odaily will teach users step by step how to interact with the Pharos testnet with zero cost in this article.
Pharos Introduction
Pharos is a next-generation Layer 1 public chain focused on RWA. In terms of performance, the network features a modular design and high parallelism, with the currently launched testnet achieving a TPS of 30,000, far exceeding other EVM and parallel networks; at the same time, Pharos adopts an innovative GPU-like architecture, improving storage efficiency by 80%, and can support billions of users. In business, Pharos focuses on institutional-level RWA application scenarios and enterprise-level decentralized financial needs, aiming to become a powerful infrastructure that brings traditional institutions into the Web3 market.
Pharos was founded in 2024, with a core team that includes not only Web2 experts from Ant Group and Alibaba Blockchain but also seasoned professionals from the Web3 industry, such as Pharos Chief Marketing Officer Laura Shen, who previously served as the marketing director at olana Mobile and the crypto marketing director at PayPal; RWA strategy director Bo Cai, who has previously participated in RWA pilot projects with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Reserve Bank of Australia, and the Bank of Ghana, and is also a Web3 researcher; ecosystem director Wilguish, who previously worked at Wormhole.
In terms of financing, on November 8, 2024, Pharos completed a $8 million seed round financing, led by Faction and Hack VC, with participation from SNZ Holding, Hash Global, MH Ventures, Dispersion Capital, Generative Ventures, and Chorus One.

Claim Test Coins
First, log in to the Pharos testnet official website. After clicking the link to the wallet in the top right corner, you need to claim Pharos testnet tokens on the homepage. It is recommended to log in using the OKX Web3 wallet, which does not require manually adding the Pharos testnet.
As shown in the left part of the image above, after completing the human verification, you can receive 0.2 PHRS test coins, and users can claim it once every 24 hours. If you want to receive more test coins at once, you can also log in to ZAN's faucet website to get 0.2 PHRS test coins for free (ZAN is a Web3 technology company under Ant Financial Group).
Complete on-chain tasks
After the test currency arrives, click on "Experience" at the top of the official website to jump to the testnet task interface. Currently, the testnet tasks can be divided into daily check-ins, on-chain tasks, and social tasks. As shown in the figure below, first click on the upper right corner to check in. Check-ins cannot be made up, so remember to set an alarm on time every day.
The first on-chain task is to exchange tokens. Click "Swap" to jump to the Swap page of the DEX Zenith within the ecosystem. During the transition, MetaMask may mistakenly pop up harmful alerts, which can be directly ignored.
As shown in the figure above, users can currently use PHRS to exchange for USDC and USDT assets on the test network. After entering a small amount of PHRS, simply click "Swap".
The second on-chain task is to add liquidity. After the exchange is successful, directly click on "Pool" in the upper left corner, and then click "+New Pool" to create a new LP. See the image below.
Then select the USDC that was just exchanged, randomly choose a fee rate, and invest all the previously exchanged USDC into the LP. The system will automatically match the required PHRS test tokens. Finally, click to authorize and confirm to add liquidity.
The third on-chain task is to send tokens to other EVM addresses. Go back to the Pharos testnet official page, click "Send" and enter the test tokens you want to send and the receiving address. Pharos is fully compatible with EVM, so users can directly paste their other "0x" prefixed addresses.
The above three tasks are not one-time only; users can repeat them multiple times within a day. Previously, there were rumors that users needed to complete 91 interactions daily to earn points, but the official seems to have removed that regulation. However, it is still recommended that users repeat the above three tasks several times daily.
In addition, users can also improve their levels by inviting others. Click on the fourth task "Invite" to copy your own link. However, rewards can only be obtained after the invited user registers and completes the tasks.
Social Task
In addition to on-chain tasks, users can also level up by completing social tasks. As shown in the figure below, you only need to follow the official Pharos X account, retweet and comment on specific tweets, and join the Discord community, all of which are one-time tasks.
Deploy Contract
However, in addition to the interactive tasks officially listed above, users can also deploy contracts on the Pharos testnet to enrich the interactive data. Click on contracts to enter, as shown in the image below, select to deploy contracts on the Pharos testnet, users can deploy a simple timer contract on the testnet, or issue ERC-20 tokens or NFTs. Taking the deployment of token contracts as an example, it only requires entering the full name and symbol of the token to complete the deployment.
