According to Mars Finance, as reported by Cointelegraph, internet celebrity Hali Welch (also known as "Hawk tuah girl") revealed in her latest podcast that she was investigated by the FBI and SEC for promoting the HAWK memecoin. After the launch of the memecoin, it quickly fell by 90%, and several Crypto Assets commentators referred to it as an "exit scam." Welch stated that the investigating agencies checked her phone and conducted inquiries, but ultimately determined that she was not at fault. She admitted that she lacked knowledge about Crypto Assets, "trusted the wrong people," and felt guilty for the losses incurred by her fans' investments. Welch claimed that she only received marketing fees and did not profit from the coin itself.
