New York Crypto Assets Kidnapping Case: Second Suspect Surrenders

Crypto entrepreneur William Duplessie (William Duplessie) has turned himself in to New York police on suspicion of involvement in a cryptocurrency kidnapping case, facing charges of kidnapping, assault, false imprisonment and illegal possession of weapons. Previously, the co-suspect John Woeltz had been arrested last Friday. The 28-year-old Italian victim escaped after nearly three weeks in captivity and called the police, saying he had been beaten, electrocuted and threatened with death. This case reflects the increasing number of violent crimes against cryptocurrency holders.
