Overview of Sui Liquid Staking Hackathon Finalists

After more than 40 days of registration and selection, the Sui liquid staking hackathon has completed the screening of all projects. The final shortlist has been announced, with six teams successfully advancing to the hackathon's Demo Day in each track. Let's take a look at these outstanding projects.

Shortlisted Projects

1. Aftermath Finance A one-stop decentralized trading platform built on Sui Move, offering CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, CMMM for long-tail assets and indices, as well as features like an integrated money market.

2. DegenHive Support the governance model that combines centralized liquidity DEX with HiveVerse NFT, dedicated to unleashing the potential of $SUI on the Sui Network.

3. Haedal Protocol The liquid staking protocol built on Sui allows users to stake $SUI to obtain haSUI while participating in DeFi activities for additional earnings.

4. Interest Protocol A DeFi protocol that supports swapping and lending, liquidity providers can use LP tokens as collateral to borrow the stablecoin Sui Dollar to offset impermanent loss.

5. SUISA DeFi protocol built on Sui, where users can stake $SUI to obtain stSUI, and can also use stSUI to mint NFTs.

6. Volo The liquid staking solution on Sui maximizes the utility and liquidity of SUI by providing voloSUI to users.

LST DeFi and tools track

1. Aftermath Finance Same as the above description.

2. Bucket Protocol The CDP protocol on Sui features non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free characteristics, improving capital efficiency and stabilizing stablecoin prices. Users can use $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral to exchange for the desired tokens at zero interest.

3. Desig Provide multi-signature solutions applicable across the entire chain, compatible with all DApps on EVM and non-EVM chains.

4. Kana Labs User-friendly applications aimed at DeFi and GameFi, dedicated to collaboratively building the future of web3.

5. Legato Provide a fixed interest rate solution for liquid staking assets and forecast interest rate fluctuations on Sui. The project won first place in the Tokyo WebX Move Hackathon in July 2023.

6. Wisp Swap Decentralized trading and prediction markets on Sui, featuring an asymmetrically concentrated liquidity DEX with auto-adjusting parameters, utilize the Ve (3,3) economic design model to predict decentralized markets.

Demo Day Details

• Time: September 29 12:00 - 15:00 (GMT+8)
• Format: Live streaming on the official Sui YouTube channel via StreamYard
• Process:
  • Participating teams: 10 minutes per team (5 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Sponsors: Alibaba Cloud, MoveBit, OtterSec

This hackathon is jointly sponsored by the Sui Foundation and several institutions.

Review Criteria

• The jury will prepare questions in advance.
• The jury consists of representatives from hackathon partners, sponsors, and ecosystem projects.
• The rating is based on preset criteria, calculating the average score after removing the highest and lowest scores.
• The competition results will be announced on October 2.
