Although the "octagonal cage fight" between Musk and Zuckerberg has not started, the PK between the two has spread in the mall. On July 6, Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of "Threads," Twitter's most powerful competitor to date. Threads has an immediate advantage over Twitter's other competitors in that it can leverage Instagram's existing user base. Direct conversion to the new Threads account - According to Statista, Instagram currently has more than 1.21 billion active users worldwide, which is undoubtedly a major killer feature of Mark Zuckerberg.

Not only that, but the release time of "Threads" is also very interesting, because Musk just announced a limit on the number of Twitter browsing last week, and unverified users are only allowed to view no more than 600 tweets per day. 1. Threads requires users to have an Instagram account. When creating a profile, Threads provides the option to import personal information and followers from an existing Instagram profile.

2. Meta confirmed that Threads will provide users with an input limit of 500 characters, while unverified Twitter users can only enter up to 280 characters. Twitter Blue subscribers can pay $8 per month to increase the character limit to 25,000. It's unclear whether Meta will offer a similar option through its Meta Verified program. A Meta company spokesman didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on the issue. But Threads users can allegedly post links, photos and five-minute videos.

3. One of the advantages of Threads over other text-based social media apps is that Instagram has a huge existing user base. When Instagram users create an account, they have the option to immediately add users they already follow.

4. Threads users can also easily switch between the text-based app and Instagram, and posts published on Threads can also be shared on the user's own Instagram story or profile.

5. Threads' home page is similar to Twitter's "For You" page, where users can see accounts they follow and may be interested in. On Threads, users can follow accounts directly by clicking the "plus" icon. Twitter also has the option to filter user feeds by accounts they follow or those on specific lists, while Threads doesn't appear to have a similar option.

6. Twitter's home page allows users to view trends and other topics that may be of interest. Currently, the only way to browse additional content on Threads is to scroll the home page. However, Meta said in a press release that they will continue to add more features to Threads in the future to "help users continue to discover topics and creators of interest, including improved feed recommendations and more powerful search functions, so that users can more easily." 7. Threads provides an option to hide likes on user posts, but hiding likes on Threads will also hide likes on users’ Instagram profiles. Threads’ option to hide likes appears to be the opposite of some of the changes Musk made when he took over Twitter, which recently added two new numbers below each tweet: Views and Bookmarks.

8. As of this writing, Threads does not appear to have an option to save drafts of posts, while Twitter does.

9. The experience of posting topic posts on Twitter and Threads is also different. On Threads, users have to press Enter three times to start a thread, while on Twitter, the thread is started by the plus button, which is more user-friendly.

10. On Threads, users cannot see likes from other profiles.

11. Finally, a small episode, Threads encountered some bugs within an hour after its launch, and some users reported problems that they could not access.
