SeeDAO White Paper: Digital City-State

Author: Tang Han, Baiyu

After three months of discussion, writing, modification, and taking effect after node voting, the SeeDAO white paper was finally released.

The birth of the white paper summarizes the practice of the SeeDAO community with a scale of 12,000 people and 2,000 collaborators from November 2021 to September 2023. The ultimate meaning pursued is to build a community based on the blockchain to pursue A society where “good life” is the purpose. To that end, this is also a white paper without a formula.

The white paper heralds such a trend: Let Web3 move from finance to society and people. In the past ten years, Web3 has been soaring on the road of finance and achieved great success, but as its original purpose, it has been shelved. What this white paper wants to do is to bring back "people" and "life" and bring Web3 back to life - perhaps its concept is still immature compared to the vast social proposition, but starting this step is extremely important. .

For those who are concerned about the development route and details of SeeDAO, please don’t panic if you don’t see the details you are interested in in this document. Because the main purpose of this white paper is to clarify the vision of SeeDAO, point out what kind of digital city-state we want to build, why we want to build such a digital city-state, and the principles, materials and tools for building this digital city-state. In short, it is to clarify the Tao, materials, rituals, laws, and utensils of the city-state. The role of this white paper in SeeDAO is strategic and is the general outline of the city-state, so it will not involve too many specific details. After its release, the city-state will release and update the economic white paper, technology yellow paper and community development orange paper according to its strategic stage to serve the development needs of the city-state.

Finally, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all members who participated in the white paper work and all contributors who participated in the construction of SeeDAO. Although this white paper has a clear author, it is actually the result of the joint efforts of members of the working group. Behind this document also corresponds to the practical questions and insights of thousands of people. Without these people, the white paper would be a castle in the air.

The following is the full text of the SeeDAO white paper:

Chapter 1: The Way of a City-State

background

Since the advent of Bitcoin, we have already had electronic currency, financial infrastructure, DID, and publishing facilities belonging to the cyberspace... The puzzle pieces of building a network society have emerged piece by piece. Now there is only the last step, which is to put these puzzle pieces together. put together.

However, immersed in the illusion of finance, we have always stopped at this step. For a long time, the Web3 industry's approach has been to rely on financial means to acquire users, and the result is financial locusts coming for money. When the wealth effect disappears, these financial locusts will disappear like smoke, leaving behind an empty technological shell that will never be able to piece together the territory of society. Without a solid social network and corresponding needs, various highly touted Web3 products are like castles built on the beach, at risk of collapse at any time.

We absolutely need to build a solid networked society, and now we have reached a moment where we can put the pieces of the puzzle together. This is not only due to the maturity of the technology sector, but also because the geopolitical order tradition that has existed for thousands of years is collapsing. In the midst of nothingness and chaos, human beings are calling for new organizational forms to explore a more valuable and meaningful life and ensure greater freedom and happiness for people. The above is the background and reason why we built this digital city-state called SeeDAO.

Meaning

The significance of SeeDAO's existence is to build a society based on blockchain with the purpose of pursuing "good life" (i.e. happiness). Its specific form is a digital city-state composed of a unified network space and physical nodes scattered in different regions. In pursuit of the purpose of "good life", the goodness of the city-state is reflected in three points: promoting connections between people; promoting the inner discovery and emergence of individuals; and providing a public life that is beneficial to everyone.

The measure of happiness is physical and mental pleasure, not just the amount of money and the degree of technological development. Happiness points to a meaningful life, so it is not simply a personal issue. This is because the human mind cannot be separated from the existence of others, and the meaning people feel is constantly emerging and confirmed in the coexistence with the external environment and others. If there is a path to happiness, we think it should be "creating" oneself in co-existence, "co-existence, emergence, and freedom."

Coexistence is the prerequisite for a city-state. A city-state is a network formed by different people connecting together and interacting with each other. It itself is a dynamically evolving life form. The city-state is a place where meaning occurs. It should create as many encounters and intersections as possible for members of the city-state, and collective collaboration is one of the most important ways. Any SeeDAO member who joins the city-state should realize that he is living in coexistence and presents his existence in coexistence.

Emergence is the form of individual existence in the city-state. We believe that everyone is born with his own "Tao", or his destiny and nature. A good life should allow everyone to give full play to their nature and unfold their inner "Tao", thereby realizing their destiny. Emergence is the process by which personal "Tao" (internal order) gradually unfolds and develops in the city-state, and is the only way to achieve personal freedom. Its three most obvious characteristics are composition, work and generative subject.

"Making" is a basic characteristic of human beings. People do not live in a cold physical world, but in events that are constantly understood and constructed by themselves. Due to their subjective initiative and power of action, people need to make choices in one event after another and participate in changing the world with their own actions. This process is called "making".

"Making" inevitably produces "works". Each "work" has its own characteristics and can be evaluated by other members of the city-state. "Works" reflect the inner self of the "author", and outstanding "works" can directly present the soul of the "author" and spread throughout the history of the city-state.

The city-state will try its best to record the process and "works" of its members. Therefore, based on these records, an individual's identity and role in the city-state are dynamically generated based on his "work" and "works" at any time. This person's public reputation in the city-state, the benefits he can enjoy in the city-state, and the arrangable permissions he can enjoy in the city-state should be related to his identity.

When different individuals emerge in co-presence, they may find conflicts and tensions between the realization of individual values. However, how to balance the inner and outer aspects of the individual, balance the individual's value proposition and the value proposition of the city-state, follow one's heart without going beyond the rules, and belong to the city-state without being burdened by the city-state. This requires people to move towards "freedom".

"Xiaoyao" is the highest state of freedom in the city-state. It symbolizes a person's spiritual and material, internal and external harmony at the same time. Here, we use "freedom" instead of "freedom" to emphasize that the ultimate goal pursued by SeeDAO is happiness, rather than the endless pursuit of more material options.

Chapter 2: The composition of the city-state

The city-state is composed of people and things within the territory; among them, people are the most important component of the city-state, the source of the establishment and creation of the territory, the birth and death of the things in the city-state, and the ultimate goal of the city-state.

The city-state should have clear boundaries to determine whether someone is within the city-state. This boundary is the identity given to the individual by the city-state. The city-state should have a clear account system so that people inside and outside the city-state can identify whether this person is a member of SeeDAO, and there should be a clear entry process to let people know how to become a member of the city-state. Since our understanding of happiness is to "make" oneself in co-existence, the identity of the city-state should be generative, supporting individuals to dynamically generate their own identity in SeeDAO through "making" and "works", and obtain the identity in SeeDAO through this identity. authority in the city-state. This is mainly reflected in the NFT, SBT, liquidity tokens and non-transferable points obtained by this person on SeeDAO.

The territory of the city-state consists of all the cyberspace, physical space, and the real space formed by the superposition of physical and virtual space in the city-state. Territory refers to the field where people’s activities take place, and its expansion and contraction are related to the needs of city-state members. Unlike physical space, the malleability of cyberspace can be almost infinite, so it has great differences in nature. Nevertheless, since the people who carry out activities in cyberspace and physical space are one, these spaces should be opened up, and their history, currency, and permissions should all maintain a certain consistency so that they can be uniformly identified as SeeDAO's public space, and operates according to the rules of the city-state.

The process of people connecting with each other and "making" themselves in the city-state is also the process of people constantly creating works and objects based on the public goods of the city-state. As the number of members in a city-state increases, people's demand for public goods will continue to grow. Specifically, the objects in the city-state mainly include: token assets in public treasury, public entity assets in physical space, public knowledge assets in cyberspace, public service equity assets in cyberspace and physical space, city-state historical data, etc.

The actions and events of SeeDAO members in the city-state constitute the history of SeeDAO. History includes changes in the relationships between people, changes in the ownership of things between different people, as well as the consumption, transfer and creation of things. The history of SeeDAO is the largest work collectively created by all members of SeeDAO. It directly determines and presents what SeeDAO is in practice. Therefore, SeeDAO is also dynamically generated in the history created by everyone. Similarly, an individual's history in SeeDAO is his or her biggest work in SeeDAO, which determines and presents his subjectivity in SeeDAO and directly affects his "identity" in SeeDAO. Since history is not only the most basic consensus basis for members who freely enter and exit SeeDAO, but also constitutes people’s ultimate meaning direction, it has extraordinary significance in the city-state and is one of the most important public goods of the city-state.

Let us describe the importance of history to the city-state this way: when there are still people in the city-state making history, the city-state is alive; and when even the last person willing to maintain and synchronize the history of the city-state disappears, the city-state dies. The same goes for individuals. "He who does not lose his place will live long, and he who dies without forgetting will live long" is the city-state's stance on the philosophy of life.

Chapter 3: The Gift of the City-State

As discussed in Chapter 1: "The goodness of a city-state is reflected in three points: promoting connections between people; promoting the inner discovery and emergence of individuals; and providing a public life that is beneficial to everyone." When all the elements of a city-state are complete, The relationship between the various elements of the city-state should be coordinated with the basic stance of promoting the good of the city-state to the greatest extent.

  • The relationship between individuals and city-states
  • Free advance and retreat. That is to say: joining a city-state, whether to be active in the city-state, and whether to withdraw from a city-state should be entirely based on the individual members' volition. When an individual leaves the city-state, the city-state should allow him to take away whatever belongs to him according to the rules. Because there is complete freedom to enter and exit the city-state, individuals in the city-state need to be responsible for their own choices and actions.
  • Generative body. An individual's identity in the city-state is generated at any time with the individual's choices and actions. The city-state has the responsibility to record the various contributions of members to the city-state, and at the same time distribute SeeDAO tokens, reputation values, NFT Seeds symbolizing the identity of core members, and various SBTs based on the contributions, and generate the personal identities of SeeDAO members based on various records.
  • Public service is directly linked to personal identity. As there are more and more contributors in the city-state, more and more public assets and public services will be created and obtained by everyone. It should be clear that the use of these public goods follows the principle of "everyone for one, one for everyone" and is given priority to contributors in the city-state. People who contribute more should enjoy more public services in the city-state.
  • The right to govern a city-state is linked to personal identity. This part complies with the SeeDAO meta-rules and governance manual.
  • The city-state provides individuals with as many beneficial connection opportunities as possible, which is not only reflected in the expansion of the SeeDAO global network (covering the interpersonal network, spatial network and activity network across the world), but also in the construction of a recognizable identity within the SeeDAO territory Unified, based on this system to reduce trust costs.
  • The city-state encourages individual “making” and emergence. Works are a direct manifestation of a person's soul; although there are differences in occupations within a city-state, there is no difference in the fact that different occupations can produce outstanding works. The city-state should build a reputation system, a social system commensurate with the quality of the works, and a historical review system that can record and disseminate outstanding works of different professions in the city-state, so as to promote individuals to create in their favorite fields.
  • The data (including identity data, social relationship data, city-state history, etc.) jointly created and deposited by all members in SeeDAO is the city-state’s largest public asset. City-states are responsible for maintaining this data and authorizing other applications to use this data through legal mechanisms.
  • Relationships between organizations within a city-state
  • Within the city-state, individuals can freely associate and withdraw from associations according to corresponding rules, and form and dissolve working groups within the city-state.
  • Based on the relationship between the organization and the overall interests of the city-state, there are far and near working groups in the city-state. For example: the innermost part of the city-state is the city hall, incubator and SeeDAO OS; followed by public projects and major guilds; followed by internally incubated commercial projects; thirdly by external commercial projects seeking to enter SeeDAO (can be included in the observer list) .
  • The city-state should organize the distance from the public interest and formulate the rules that different organizations should follow and the rights and interests they enjoy in SeeDAO. In principle, resources should be given priority to organizations more relevant to the public interests of the city-state.
  • Since the working group is growing within SeeDAO at any time, its relationship with the public interests of SeeDAO is also changing at any time. The status of the assessment working group in the city-state should be reviewed regularly and the city-state's distance map should be changed.
  • The city-state should provide corresponding technical infrastructure so that SeeDAO members can identify what organizations within the city-state are and the distance between these organizations and the city-state. In addition, since each member's identity in the city-state is generated at any time based on his or her actions, each person's distance relationship with different organizations (such as whether they have permission to enter an organization's information database) is different. In the infrastructure provided by the city-state, SeeDAO members should also be supported to identify their near and far relationships with different organizations.
  • Organizations within a city-state should use public resources legally in accordance with rules; when conflicts arise between organizations, they should also follow the rules and resort to public discussion.
  • The city-state should record all proposals, proposal approvals, incentive distribution, post-event summaries, and reputation accumulation records of the working groups in the city-state, and regularly merge the history of the core working group into the SeeDAO history.
  • Within the city-state, whether it is an individual or an organization, its greatest good and legitimacy is to maintain and expand the city-state's commons, which is reflected in specific practices, that is, whether it can serve the city-state to the greatest extent and increase and maintain the city-state's public goods. . Ideally, the amount of public resources obtained in a city-state should be related to how much a person or a certain working group contributes to the city-state (the amount of historical contribution, the amount of potential contribution).
  • The Riveting of Meaning: History
  • No matter what stance the individuals in the city-state hold on life, the city-state believes that the ultimate destination for people to identify meaning in the city-state is human history.
  • The city-state must have its own public history, and be sure to revise the city-state history at least once a year.
  • All parts related to public affairs must be filed in proposals to form a public database with historical records.
  • Every version of the city-state’s public history is open, transparent and cannot be tampered with to ensure its fairness.
  • In addition to the public history of the city-state, individuals in the city-state are encouraged to record their own history and compare it with public history to provide multiple perspectives and comparison of authenticity.
  • Measure of value: $SEE
  • $SEE is the basic currency of the SeeDAO digital city-state. All transactions occurring in the city-state should use $SEE as the payment method.
  • The legitimacy of $SEE as a payment method for transactions occurring within the city-state stems from the fact that the city-state provides public goods for everyone. If it were like a city-state, such a network society would no longer exist, and such transactions would not be possible. The economic model will be discussed in detail in Chapter 4.

Chapter 4: Law of the City-State

Wherever everyone gathers, there must be public business, and if it is public business, there must be public discussion. In the city-state, we call orderly public discussions, referendums and public actions governance.

The purpose of governance is to maintain the operation of the city-state and promote the good of the city-state. Since people are the most important element of a city-state and the ultimate goal of a city-state, maintaining the consensus and unity of people within a city-state is the most basic job of a ruler.

Governance must be legal in order to be effective within the city-state. SeeDAO meta-rules and their corresponding mechanisms are the fundamental source of legitimacy for all governors and governance behaviors in the city-state. The node consensus conference is the highest governance body of the city-state.

The quality of governance can be measured by actual conditions. The number of SeeDAO members, the increase or decrease in public goods (city-state territory, money in the treasury, technical infrastructure, data and history, public services and welfare, etc.), the personal works emerging from SeeDAO, etc. can all reflect the status of the city-state. The quality of governance needs to be recorded into the history of the city-state.

If the digital city-state of SeeDAO is compared to a game, then in the game, players will have four core assets, namely the liquid token $SEE, liquid NFT Seed, reputation points WANG, and SBT. In response to different scenarios within the city-state, governors can use a combination of these tools for governance. These four types of assets will be explained below:

Reputation Points WANG

WANG is SeeDAO's reputation points, reflecting the members' historical contributions to the city-state. Reputation points must be obtained through community members’ contributions to the city-state, and the division and adjustment of contribution categories and channels are stipulated in the SeeDAO governance manual.

Reputation Points are non-transferable and non-tradeable. The more reputation points, the more historical contributions community members have made to SeeDAO and the closer the relationship with SeeDAO.

Reputation points have many uses within a city-state. For example:

  • Different levels of reputation point holders have different levels of governance rights in the community;
  • When the reputation points exceed a certain threshold, the member can cast SeeDAO Seed NFT for free and enjoy the various rights and interests behind Seed;
  • Based on the member's quarterly reputation points and decay formula, the member's effective governance points for the quarter can be calculated to determine whether he or she is qualified to participate in the node consensus conference;
  • ……

Seed NFT

Seed is the identity and cultural symbol of the core members of the city-state. The city-state does not sell Seed to the outside world; the only way to mint Seed is for community members to accumulate reputation points in SeeDAO until they exceed a certain threshold.

After the core members of the city-state mint Seed, they can be circulated and traded in the market. After the Seed is sold, the community members no longer enjoy the various rights and interests bound to the Seed.

In principle, participants in the SeeDAO node consensus conference must be Seed holders. In addition, SeeDAO’s externally negotiated community benefits and internally produced public resources are given priority to Seed holders.

SeeDAO SBT

Homogenized reputation points and non-fungible NFT alone still cannot present the appearance of community members in the community. Therefore, various SBTs need to be introduced to describe the roles, skills, behaviors, works, etc. of SeeDAO members.

SeeDAO SBT will be integrated under the identity system of SeeDAO members and become the material for community members to edit their self-image externally. At the same time, once a certain SBT (such as work experience SBT) is recognized by the outside world, the SBT will also bring new opportunities to members and become a certain identity asset.

$SEE

$SEE is the basic currency of the SeeDAO digital city-state, and all transactions that occur within the city-state should use $SEE as the payment method.

$SEE becomes the legitimacy of the payment method for transactions occurring within the city-state, which stems from the fact that the city-state provides public goods for everyone. Therefore, the fundamental purpose of the issuance and destruction of $SEE is not to increase the price, but to maintain the sustainable supply of public goods in the city-state. If the price of $SEE is too low, the supply of public goods in the city-state will be difficult to maintain, and the city-state will also decline.

The total amount of $SEE in the first phase is fixed at 1 billion. The total amount of community POW is 500 million, and a maximum of 50 million will be released every year, which will be distributed in 10 years. After 10 years, the city-state will dynamically issue additional $SEE based on the need to increase or maintain public goods.

For the public interest, the city-state needs to establish an economic mechanism to maintain the price of $SEE, including expanding the payment scenarios of $SEE (that is, collecting seigniorage from more people), increasing the destruction scenarios of $SEE, etc. In the destruction scenario, the most basic one is to tax and destroy commercial organizations that have used infrastructure and data in the city-state, thereby reducing the total supply of $SEE. This process is automatically performed by the protocol, and its implementation will rely on the SeeDAO OS discussed in detail in Chapter 5. In principle, in the first stage of city-state development, the taxes collected by the city-state flow back into the community treasury; in the second stage of city-state development, the destruction mode is officially entered. Its details will be stipulated in the SeeDAO economic white paper released in the future.

The following will introduce the distribution of $SEE in the first phase:

  1. $SEE before circulation

According to the current community node consensus conference and the three-tier proposal mechanism, members’ POW contributions are recorded and non-transferable on-chain points are issued. At this stage, reputation tokens and $SEE become one. 2. After $SEE is circulated and before the city-state public chain is launched

A $SEE airdrop will be conducted on a 1:1 basis to members who have gained reputation points in the first stage. Since then, $SEE has entered the era of free circulation, and the distribution of reputation points WANG has been separated from the liquidity token $SEE. At this time, the SeeDAO economic white paper should be released to elaborate on the economic model and calculation formula for $SEE, reputation points WANG and Seed. 3. After the City State public chain is launched, before $SEE enters dynamic supply

The ultimate technical form of SeeDAO is to build Polis, a public chain dedicated to city-states. Polis will be used to carry various economic activities in the city-state and provide safe and reliable chain services for various Dapps and Apps. After Polis goes online, SeeDAO contribution categories will be added, $SEE will be issued to nodes participating in maintaining the Polis consensus mechanism, the SeeDAO economic white paper will be updated, and the economic model will be adjusted.

Chapter 5: The Weapon of the City-State

The above four chapters elaborate on our various ideas, imaginations and needs for digital city-state. To make dreams come true, it is necessary to implement them into tangible technical objects, such as using technology to define the territory of the city-state, define the identities and relationships of the members, solidify SeeDAO's public assets and tax base, and reduce the cost of members in the city-state. Internal living and creative costs, etc.

Currently, the most important infrastructure of the city-state is SeeDAO OS and SeeDAO App, which allow the community to clarify its territory and membership status. This is also the focus of this chapter. In the future, SeeDAO's most important infrastructure will be the city-state's own public chain Polis, which will be introduced in a special technical yellow paper.

In terms of the relationship between the three, the public chain Polis is the essence, SeeDAO OS is the standard, and SeeDAO App is the presentation. Through these infrastructures, SeeDAO will automate and gamify the interactive experience between members and the city-state, making life, creation, and governance within the city-state easy and feasible.

SeeDAO Ecosystem

From the technical architecture, the SeeDAO ecological application relationship is as shown in the figure below: SeeDAO OS is at the lowest level of the ecology, providing standards for ecological application construction; the next layer is city-state public goods, public services and SeeDAO OS+ built based on the OS; The upper layer is city-state applications and ecological applications that serve various SeeDAO members.

SeeDAO OS Architecture Overview

SeeDAO OS

In order to support SeeDAO ecological applications, the OS is designed to include two core subsystems: Protocols and Sidecar. Protocols are the basis for establishing SeeDAO OS, including identity and relationship, enabling all residents in the SeeDAO city-state to maintain consistent identities and relationships between different applications in the SeeDAO ecosystem. Sidecar provides the city-state's core history recording capabilities and corresponding APIs, so that the public life and development process in the city-state can be accurately and persistently recorded and called.

SeeDAO OS - Two Parts

1. SeeDAO OS Protocols

SeeDAO OS Protocols are mainly composed of two groups of protocols, namely identity protocol and relationship protocol.

The identity protocol consists of SNS (SeeDAO Name Service) and profile protocol SPP (SeeDAO Profile Protocol). When a person begins to have his own SeeDAO Name, all his relationships and history can be recorded and recognized in the city-state's technical system, and he can truly enter the city-state. When this person starts to act in the city-state and leaves his traces and works, his personal page SeePASS (an application built based on SPP) in the city-state will also be updated accordingly. Out of respect for personal privacy, SeePASS will also provide an anonymity function to serve certain anonymous usage scenarios in the city-state.

The SeeDAO Relation Protocol (SRP) mainly involves the relationship between members and other people, objects and events in the city-state, including social relationships and authority relationships. For example: whether Alice and Bob have ever worked in a certain working group of SeeDAO; whether Alice has the authority to enter the SeeDAO Shanghai urban space; whether Alice has the authority to participate in community project reviews, etc. Through identity and relationships, we can determine the presence of a member in the city-state.

SeeDAO Protocols

2.SeeDAO OS Sidecar

The birth and death of identities, and the transformation of relationships between people, objects, and things constitute history. The historical recording, aggregation and calling capabilities are placed in the Sidecar part outside the Protocol. In addition to history, Sidecar also provides capabilities such as data processing and access control. The data processing module can process, aggregate, and analyze data generated by the life of a huge city-state, so that the OS can sense the operating status of the city-state at any time. The permission access management module provides unified, flexible, and open access management in the entire city-state life, and provides a technical basis for the legal operation of data authorization for ecological applications.

In order to free people from arduous and repetitive work, SeeDAO OS Sidecar will also provide an Intent Engine, which combines AI and automated processes to help people complete a large number of repetitive tasks in city-state life.

SeeDAO OS Sidecar

SeeDAO OS+

In order to promote the prosperity of SeeDAO ecological applications and reduce the development cost and difficulty of ecological applications, we built SeeDAO OS+ based on SeeDAO OS and SeeDAO Open API.

As shown in the figure below, OS+ can provide a fully developed technical solution and provide multi-terminal support such as web applications, mobile applications, and desktop applications, so that city-state life can be kept online in different hardware environments and different usage scenarios. We believe that applications in city-states need to integrate Web3 and Web2 in many scenarios, and this state will exist for a long time in the history of technology development. Therefore, the technical solution of SeeDAO OS+ will support dApps, Apps, and hybrid application forms (Hybrid Apps). Hybrid Apps are a form of technology application that combines decentralized technology and centralized technology. It can make full use of the advantages brought by the two technical directions while maintaining the user experience.

SeeDAO OS+

SeeDAO Public Utilities

Side by side with SeeDAO OS+ is an application portfolio focused on public utilities, mainly divided into public goods (Public Goods) and public services (Public Service). Public goods are resources that members in the city-state can obtain without paying. For example, although the proposal and voting system has maintenance costs, members in the city-state can participate directly according to the corresponding rules without paying. Although public services are public in nature, they can be charged externally or distributed according to other rules, such as SNS.

In SeeDAO, the establishment of public projects needs to strictly follow the corresponding rules of the city-state, while ecological applications built on OS+ are not restricted and can be released by anyone. Public utilities that prioritize public interests and unrestricted ecological applications built on OS+ standards will serve the life needs of city-state members. This not only ensures the fairness of resources enjoyed by city-states, but also promotes the emergence of communities and accelerates ecological development.

SeeDAO Public Utilities

SeeDAO App

City life needs to be visible and sensible to its members. All applications, whether they are public goods, public services, or rich applications on OS+, need to be carried by specific things. In SeeDAO, this carrier is the SeeDAO App.

All public goods and public services will be provided to members of the city-state in the SeeDAO App, and ecological applications on OS+ will also occupy an important space in the SeeDAO App. SeeDAO App not only provides web applications, but also mobile and desktop applications, allowing all city-state residents to access their digital lives at any time.

SeeDAO App

Polis: The future city-state public chain

Although we will not discuss too much about the city-state public chain Polis in this white paper, what is certain is that as the number of people in the city-state expands and a large number of transactions occur, we must reduce the unit cost of infrastructure use. This requires us to build a city-state's own dedicated chain.

The launch of Polis will mark the basic completion of the construction of the city-state's technical form. From a community with nothing to a digital city-state, to building a public chain with prosperous ecological applications, this plan sounds crazy, but it is so real in practice. Compared with those projects that first receive huge sums of money to develop public chains and then develop the ecology to attract users, our paths may seem different, but they lead to the same goal. ——One is from technology to society, and the other is from society to technology. We will eventually realize the intersection of technology and society and weave such a network society. And there is only one fundamental behind this, and that is people.

After the launch of Polis, what is waiting for SeeDAO? Nobody knows. But we certainly won't stop there. SeeDAO has always been very aggressive in its progress, but we are not afraid of being accused of being the weavers of utopia. In any case, please let us remember what was said in Chapter 1: everything we do is to explore a more valuable and meaningful life and ensure greater freedom and happiness for people.
