Ethereum rival smart contract platform Avalanche has announced a new approach that includes meme coins. Here are the details of the remarkable announcement.

Avalanche management is preparing to introduce the "Culture Catalyst" initiative, which was launched last year. The aim of the project is to support meme coins, gas tokens, NFTs, stablecoins, Real-World assets (RWA), and governance coins.

Last year, the Avalanche Foundation announced the launch of Culture Catalyst, a program aimed at empowering creators, sparking innovation, and fostering the adoption of blockchains.

The administration said that it plans to purchase certain meme coins based on AVAX to launch a collection and tokens; announced that it will select based on a combination of a number of factors, including but not limited to the number of holders, liquidity thresholds, and general social sentiment.

The move complements the Avalanche Foundation's ongoing involvement across the Avalanche ecosystem, including NFTs, RWAs, and other types of cryptocurrencies, and aims to expand its portfolio more fully.

The initiative was originally created in March 2022 as a collaboration between Avalanche and OP3N, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chat application.
