Crypto investors answered: Is the bull season over?
The survey conducted by CoinGecko with more than 2500 participants revealed that crypto investors and observers expect a rise in the market.
Between June 25 and July 8, a total of 2,558 people participated in the survey, with 94% of the participants stating that they have invested in cryptocurrencies. 49.3% of the participants are relatively optimistic about the future of the industry. About one-fourth of the participants are divided almost equally between 'bearish' and 'somewhat bearish', while another one-fourth described themselves as 'neutral', indicating that they do not expect any significant upward or downward movement in the market.
Positive views on the sector continue.
CoinGecko research analyst Lim Yu Qian said, "The large share of neutral sentiment reflects investors' uncertainty about the cryptocurrency market outlook."
Among the four groups of participants in the survey (investors, traders, developers, and observers), the second group is the most pessimistic about cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, long-term investors are the most optimistic group, closely followed by those working in the crypto field.
Since the halving on April 20, when Bitcoin mining rewards were halved, Bitcoin has fallen by approximately 9.5%. Bitcoin is currently trading around $57,585, slightly higher than the four-month low below $54,000 last week.
The past Bitcoin halving, which occurs approximately every four years, has always positively affected the price. However, the market continues to be pressured by the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox and Bitcoin transfers by the German government. Investors are eagerly awaiting the future price movements of BTC.
