Major Vulnerability in Solana-Based Altcoin Platform: Fake Tokens Minted, Prices Plummet! - Coin Bulletin

Pump Science warned users against fake tokens produced from compromised wallets, announcing that they have no connection with these projects.

Pump Science, a launch platform based on DeSci (Decentralized Science) on the Solana network, has announced a serious security breach. According to the statement, the private key of the wallet belonging to the address T5j2U…jb8sc was leaked due to a developer leaving this key exposed in the codebase.

Attackers created fake URO and RIF using this wallet. Pump Science stated that all tokens generated from this wallet are fake.

The statement made by Pump Science is as follows:

Warning: The attacker continues to generate new tokens from our compromised wallet. These tokens have not been created by our team and the wallet in question is no longer secure.

We repeat: NONE OF THESE TOKENS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY OUR TEAM. THESE TOKENS ARE FAKE.

The platform warned its users to be careful against such fake tokens and emphasized that they have no connection with the tokens produced from the seized wallet. It is recommended that users invest in secure projects to avoid any harm.

The prices of RIF and URO have respectively depreciated by %16 and %15 in the last 24 hours.
