A Bitcoin whale that has been inactive since 2013 sparked curiosity in the crypto market by transferring 2,700 BTC.

According to information provided by the crypto analysis platform Lookonchain, a Bitcoin whale that has been inactive for 11 years transferred a total of 2,700 BTC (approximately $257.45 million).

The whale acquired these Bitcoins on December 21, 2013, when the price of Bitcoin was $625.84. It is noteworthy that the whale, which has not seen any movement in its wallet since then, made this substantial transfer.

These kinds of old wallet movements usually create curiosity and speculation in the crypto market, but the purpose of this transfer or the person behind it has not yet been clarified.

In the past months, many decades-old Bitcoin whales came to the agenda by making similar transfers.

According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin, which has shown a 1% increase in the last 24 hours, is currently trading at $96,500.
