BlockBeats News, on December 9th, according to Reuters and Polish media Rzeczpospolita, Polish authorities arrested the former CEO of Russian cryptocurrency exchange WEX in downtown Warsaw. The man's name is Dmitry V. He is suspected of engaging in fraud and money laundering activities during his management of WEX, which closed in 2018. A spokesperson for the Polish police told Reuters, 'The man is currently detained, awaiting the completion of all extradition procedures. If extradited to the United States, Dmitry V may face charges carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.'
