The Founder of Dev Altcoin's X Account Was Hacked, Fake Token Introduced! Price Experienced a Decline!

As the incidents of hacking in the cryptocurrency market continue to increase, blockchain researcher ZachXBT has disclosed a new hacking incident.

According to ZachXBT, co-founder and president of the blockchain gaming giant Animoca Brands, his X account has been hacked.

ZachXBT also mentioned that the hacker made a fake token introduction from Yat Sui's account.

Hacker Siu made a promotion of a Solana-based memecoin named Animoca Brands (MOCA) on Pump.fun from the account he took over, which is the same name as the irreplaceable token (NFT) collection of Mocaverse affiliated with the company. The post was deleted afterwards.

According to the data, the Fake MOCA token reached a market value of $36,700 shortly after being shared from Siu's account. However, it subsequently crashed.

Animoca Brands confirmed the hack incident and fake token launch with the following official statement: "Unfortunately, Siu's social media account has been compromised. The token launch on Solana claimed in a shared post was made by the hacker."

This hacking incident also had a negative impact on The Sandbox (SAND). SAND, which experienced an 8% decline in the last 24 hours, ranked among the top declining altcoins.
