According to Bitwise CEO, 2025 will be the year of Bitcoin! Companies will adopt this strategy - Coin Bulletin
Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley predicts that 2025 will be a big year for corporate Bitcoin adoption.
In a social media statement, Horsley said, “2025 looks like it will be a big year for new companies that adopt the Bitcoin Standard.” Please provide the text to be translated.
Bitwise's Bitcoin treasury ETF
Horsley's comments came after Bitwise recently applied for an ETF to track companies with Bitcoin treasuries. This ETF product will invest in companies holding at least 1,000 BTC in their balance sheets.
According to Bitwise's regulatory application, the weights of the ETF will be based on the amount of Bitcoin owned by the companies instead of their market value. Eligible companies will be determined based on their quarterly reports. However, only companies with a market value of at least 100 million dollars and a daily average liquidity of 1 million dollars will be included in this list.
Institutions continue to embrace Bitcoin
So far, Bitcoin adoption has been quite limited in the corporate world. While MicroStrategy (MSTR) is one of the leading companies in this field, some mining firms also stand out with their Bitcoin reserves. However, when looking at the overall picture, only 22 companies have more than 1,000 BTC on their balance sheets.
Tesla was expected to kick off a groundbreaking trend of institutional adoption with its landmark Bitcoin purchase in 2021, but this did not materialize.
