PANews, on January 13th, according to official sources, BTCon-chain financial infrastructure Alpen Labs announced the completion of an $8.5 million strategic financing, with DBA and Cyber Fund co-leading, and Ribbit Capital, Castle Island Ventures, and Geometry being the largest investors in its seed round financing, and once again supporting Alpen in this round of financing. This round of funding will help accelerate the development of the BTCZK Rollup 'Strata' and release it to Mainnet in 2025. It is reported that Strata will be launched as an open platform, aiming to expand and promote the use of BTC, which will unlock many practical functions for BTC: simple self-custody, intuitive and privacy-protecting payments, interoperability, BTC-backed lending and stablecoins, as well as many other on-chain applications. Strata will be open to the public starting from next month with the upcoming test network release. Earlier in April last year, BTCL2 developer Alpen Labs completed a $10.6 million financing round, led by Ribbit Capital.
