The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association (WHPA) announced that it is working to adopt Bitcoin and add it to its balance sheet.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association, a nonprofit organization that supports highway patrol crews, call center employees, and civilian support personnel, announced that it is working to adopt and add Bitcoin to its balance sheet.

The WHPA's plan is in partnership with the "Get Off Zero" initiative of Bitcoin education platform Proof of Workforce. This initiative aims to teach organizations such as trade unions and pension funds about the benefits of Bitcoin.

According to the founder of the platform Dom Bei, WHPA may hold a portion of its Bitcoin assets under its own supervision. Bei stated that Bitcoin is a reliable long-term store of value and can protect those working against the fluctuating fiat system.

US Senator fully supports Bitcoin plan

Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis announced her full support for this initiative from her state. Lummis, who introduced the Bitcoin reserve bill at the federal level last July, called the initiative "very exciting"*.

Lummis argued that Bitcoin will help preserve the true value of Americans' labor, stating, "Protecting Wyoming's security with Bitcoin is an innovation focused on freedom."

WHPA Vice President Austin Bluemel expressed that they are evaluating how Bitcoin can support their organizations and that they are open to exploring it without delving too much into the details of this plan.
