Attention: Another Country Can Launch a Scam-Content Memecoin After Argentina, Don't Fall for It!
According to sources, the company behind the scam coin Libra, supported by Argentine President Javier Milei, was working on a similar project with Nigerian officials. However, progress on the project no longer seems likely after the Libra scandal.
The effects of the Libra memecoin collapse continue to escalate with a number of US law firms, including Bruwick Law, revealing plans to file a class action lawsuit against President Milei. Meanwhile, opposition parties in Argentina are considering impeachment proceedings, alleging that Milei and his associates are involved in a hundred million dollar cryptocurrency fraud.
One of the companies at the center of the debate is Kelsier Ventures, a US-based firm with deep ties to the Libra token.
Kelsier Ventures CEO Hayden Davis, in a video interview today, tried to downplay the situation by arguing that memecoins are inherently risky investments. He also admitted that the sector is grappling with conflicts of interest but claimed to be working on a solution for affected investors.
Davis also revealed that he was involved in the creation of Melania Trump's latest memecoin, (MELANIA), which is claimed to have wallet connections between Kelsier Ventures' MELANIA and Libra projects supported by the blockchain analysis platform Bubblemaps.
These statements, although not directly confirmed, have sparked new speculation about Donald Trump's involvement in the meme coin space.
According to exclusive information obtained by The Big Whale, Kelsier Ventures was also developing a memecoin project on the Solana blockchain in collaboration with members of the Nigerian government.
While there is no direct evidence of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu's involvement in the project, sources confirm that members of Tinubu's team have been involved in discussions related to the initiative.
A source close to the matter said, "The project was quite advanced." However, in light of the Libra debates, the future of the project is now uncertain. The Nigeria case may not be an isolated incident. According to sources, Kelsier Ventures has also approached other governments about launching similar memecoin projects.
