In recent days, while the end of the legal case between Ripple (XRP) and SEC is expected, Ripple has obtained DFSA approval to offer cryptocurrency payments and services in Dubai.

Blockchain payment provider ***Ripple has received full regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to offer cross-border crypto payment services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Ripple became the first blockchain-backed payment provider licensed by the DFSA.

With this license, Ripple can now offer global blockchain-based payment solutions to businesses across the UAE.

The announcement made by Ripple indicates Ripple's first license in the Middle East, emphasizing the company's long-term commitment to the region and global regulatory compliance. The approval makes Ripple's seamless compliance-focused global payment product available for businesses in the UAE and strengthens its role as a reliable partner for financial institutions seeking to enhance real-world utility using the superior capabilities of digital assets.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the following about the DFSA license:
