The Date of the New Route in Ethereum, Solving the 2-Week Problem, Has Been Determined! - Coin Bulletin
Ethereum developers are preparing to launch a new test network called Hoodi next week after the technical glitches.
Tim Beiko, the developer coordinator of the Ethereum Foundation, announced the establishment of a new test network due to glitches in the expected update of the Ethereum network Pectra. The failures in the tests conducted on the Sepolia and Holesky test networks prompted developers to launch a new test network called Hooli. According to Beiko's statement, the Hooli test network will be active on Monday, March 25, and the Pectra update will be tested for the last time on this network on Wednesday, March 26.
If the new tests are successful, the update is expected to be moved to the Ethereum mainnet in approximately 30 days. In this case, users may see the update active on the mainnet by the end of April or the beginning of May.
The technical glitches in Pectra's testing processes coincide with a challenging period for Ethereum. Recent declines in the price of ETH, management changes at the Ethereum Foundation, and the increasing popularity of rival blockchains like Solana are exerting significant pressure on Ethereum.
Experts in the sector see the successful implementation of the Pectra update as critical for Ethereum to regain confidence in the markets.
