Abstract generation in progress

The recent increase in the activities of Bitcoin whales may be a sign of potential selling pressure in the markets.

A writer from the on-chain data and analysis platform CryptoQuant stated that the Bitcoin exchange whale ratio has returned to last year's levels and reached an important peak.

This ratio shows the proportion of the total Bitcoin flow occurring on exchanges with the largest 10 transactions and a high ratio indicates that Bitcoin investments are being heavily executed by large investors, namely whales revealing this fact.

This situation is generally interpreted as large investors actively reallocating their assets, which indicates that selling pressure is likely to be close in the markets.

The increase in whale activity also brings the risk of reduced market liquidity, which can lead to significant price fluctuations.
