Out of 2,047 individuals, 411 reported that they own virtual assets, with a total value of approximately 14.4 billion KRW or 9.83 million dollars. Among government officials showing increased interest in cryptocurrencies, Seoul City Council Member Kim Hye-young stands out.

**Kim Hye-young declared virtual assets worth approximately 1.16 million dollars amounting to 1.7 billion KRW. Owning 16 different cryptocurrencies, Kim holds popular digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ripple (XRP) in her portfolio. This situation demonstrates how widespread and accepted cryptocurrencies have become among government officials.

The widespread adoption of virtual assets among government officials indicates that cryptocurrencies are increasingly being accepted not only by individuals but also by state bodies. This increase strengthens the interest in cryptocurrencies and their place in legal and financial systems.
