#BTC# O presidente do Fed, Powell: O Fed não precisa se apressar para cortar as taxas
2025/02/11 23:06 A report from the Golden Finance stated that on Tuesday, during the two-day congressional hearing, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell conveyed a simple message to Congress: Due to the good economic performance, the Fed can slowly decide when and whether to cut interest rates. According to the prepared speech, Powell will tell the members of the Senate Banking Committee, "Given that our current policy stance is less restrictive than before and the economy remains strong, we do not need to adjust our policy stance in a hurry." Powell also defended last year's rate cut, calling it a necessary adjustment to its policy stance to address the improvement in inflation and the cooling of the labor market situation. Looking ahead, he said that if the inflation rate does not continue to decline to the target level and the economy remains stable, the Fed may keep interest rates unchanged for a longer period. Powell said that if the labor market unexpectedly weakens, or if inflation falls faster than expected to the target of 2%, the Fed may cut rates.
