Shiba Inu: Is There a Chance to Reach 1 USD by 2030?

As of the morning of July 16, 2025, the total market capitalization of the global crypto market has surpassed the 3.8 trillion USD mark. Although this is a huge figure, the industry still faces considerable skepticism. Many scams continue to occur, and the true utility of crypto in everyday life is still being questioned. However, there are still some tokens that stand out thanks to attracting a loyal and passionate user community. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is one of them. Although it is currently trading 84% lower than its all-time high, since its launch in 2020, SHIB has still provided enormous profits for high-risk investors. With that growth momentum, can SHIB reach a price of 1 USD per token by 2030?

  1. The Glamour of Speculation and Hype The price history of Shiba Inu is like a roller coaster – there are continuous explosive price increases in a short period, followed by a sharp decline. In October 2021, SHIB peaked during the bull run frenzy. Similarly, two more strong price increases occurred in 2024 – but were quickly met with a "cold water splash" from the crypto market. This shows that the price of SHIB is heavily influenced by speculative cycles and market sentiment, rather than based on fundamental factors or real utility. Investors who know how to "get ahead of the crowd" and exit at the right time can make a profit, but this is nearly impossible to do consistently without a significant amount of luck.
  2. Roadmap to 1 USD – Current Unrealistic As of now, SHIB is trading around 0.0000139 USD. To reach 1 USD by 2030, the token price needs to increase over 72,000 times – equivalent to a compound annual growth rate of (CAGR) of up to 836%. To compare, Bitcoin – the largest digital asset in the world – has only increased an average of 67% per year over the last 5 years, and that is already a "terrible" achievement. Additionally, with a supply of 590 trillion SHIB tokens in circulation, if the price reaches 1 USD, the total market cap would be... 590 trillion USD – nearly 20 times the annual GDP of the United States (30.000 trillion USD), and more than 100 times the market cap value of the largest corporations in the world like Nvidia or Apple. => Clearly, with the current supply, SHIB cannot reach 1 USD without a fundamental change in the supply-demand mechanism.
  3. Can the Token Burning Mechanism Save SHIB? Shiba Inu is implementing a token burn mechanism – that is, permanently removing a portion of SHIB from circulation – to reduce supply and create scarcity. However, the reality shows that this speed is extremely slow: only about 180,000 tokens are burned each day. At this rate, it would take centuries to have a significant impact on the total supply. Even if the token burning process is more effective, that does not guarantee that the actual value of the SHIB network will increase. The price may be higher nominally, but if the total supply decreases significantly, the amount of tokens held by investors will also decrease – the total assets do not change much.
  4. SHIB Can "Survive", But It's Hard to Bounce Back The fact that the price of SHIB is still 84% lower than its previous peak proves that interest from the market is declining. SHIB may continue to exist and have some unexpected price surges, but if it cannot build practical application value, this token will simply be "on life support" thanks to the community. Shiba Inu developers have introduced several products such as: Shibarium – a layer-2 solution to reduce transaction fees; ShibaSwap – a decentralized exchange; SHIB: The Metaverse – a virtual world with immersive experiences. However, the level of practical application and users of these products is still very limited, unable to compete with other platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, or major DEXs like Uniswap.
  5. Conclusion: SHIB is Only for High Speculators, Not for Long-term Investors With a huge supply, slow token burn rate, and a lackluster application value, it is impossible for SHIB to reach 1 USD without a large-scale overhaul or a historic FOMO wave. For long-term investors seeking stability and real growth potential in the crypto space, Bitcoin remains a safer and more solid choice. Shiba Inu may continue to "survive" thanks to the community and short-term speculative cycles, but to "change your life" from SHIB, don't forget that: the billion-dollar dream requires more than luck and hype.
