However, Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas questioned Robinhood's promotional claims, arguing that despite Robinhood's stock price rising 338% over the past 12 months, if investments are already freely available through ETFs (investment vehicles in regulated large-scale instruments), there is actually no need to switch to Robinhood (24-hour trading or instant settlement is not an advantage, as 99.9% of investors do not care about these).
