Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap Focused on Asset Continuity and Interoperability
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap, Focusing on Three Core Development Directions
Recently, the gaming public chain Oasys celebrated its two-year anniversary by releasing its latest technical roadmap. This roadmap addresses current technical challenges and user pain points, proposing corresponding solutions and outlining short-term and medium-term technical planning. The three core directions of the Oasys technical roadmap are application data availability, layer-two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability.
Technical Challenges Facing Blockchain Games and Oasys's Response Strategy
Although the underlying blockchain technology has been continuously improved over the past two years, there are still many technical shortcomings that need to be addressed in the practice of public chains for blockchain games. Oasys has proposed corresponding solutions to these challenges.
Continuity of gaming assets
In traditional Web2 games, the game assets obtained by players often disappear when the game is shut down. Blockchain technology provides a technical foundation to solve the problem of digital asset ownership. However, with the popularity of modular architecture, new issues have arisen, namely the lack of continuity in user assets.
Oasys has proposed an innovative approach: by mirroring game assets from the second layer network to the first layer network, providing permanent and continuous protection for user assets. Even if the second layer data is lost, user assets remain secure.
Interoperability of Layer 2 Networks
Oasys's Layer 2 network is called Verse Layer, which implies that each Layer 2 network is an independent "small universe" that allows for full customization of games. However, interoperability between different Layer 2 networks has always been a challenge.
To address this issue, Oasys plans to introduce a cross-chain bridge, adopting a universal data format and standardizing APIs to achieve seamless interoperability between different layer-two networks. This will enable users to easily and securely transfer data and assets between different games on Oasys.
ecosystem scalability
Building and maintaining a unique ecosystem is a significant challenge for every blockchain network. Oasys closely collaborates with ecosystem partners and existing layer two network operators to provide them with the necessary tools and resources to support ecosystem development and reduce technical barriers.
The Oasys Verse Development Kit (Oasys VDK) allows enterprises to quickly access high-quality Layer 2 networks and use predefined ecosystem components to accelerate project launches and content development.
Short-term and Medium-term Technical Roadmap
Oasys's technology roadmap covers development plans for the short term (within 1 year) and the medium term (2-3 years).

Recent Developments and Collaborations
Oasys has achieved significant results in the development of practical use cases. In May, Oasys launched the L2 chain XPLA Verse, and the well-known game from the large Korean mobile game company Com2uS will be simultaneously launched on-chain. Additionally, the blockchain game "Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-" based on the Japanese soccer manga "Captain Tsubasa" has also officially launched on Oasys.
In terms of ecosystem expansion, Oasys recently partnered with Japan's SBI Group to enhance its influence in the crypto gaming and NFT market in Japan. In February of this year, Oasys also collaborated with Kakao's Web3 gaming division, Metabora SG, to support its entry into the Japanese market.
These initiatives not only demonstrate Oasys's technological innovation and strategic vision in the blockchain gaming field but also highlight its determination to collaborate with industry giants to jointly promote the development of blockchain games. As the technological roadmap is gradually implemented, Oasys is taking solid steps towards building global standards for blockchain games, creating real value for players and developers, while bringing new experiences and opportunities to the gaming industry.
