Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap to Build New Infrastructure for Blockchain Games
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap to Promote Blockchain Game Development
Oasys, as a blockchain platform focused on gaming, has recently released a new technical roadmap aimed at addressing the technical challenges facing the current development of chain games and establishing short-term and medium-term plans for future development. The three core objectives of this roadmap are to enhance application data availability, improve layer two interoperability, and expand the ecosystem.
Oasys adopts a combined architecture design of Layer1 and Layer2, providing high network stability, high scalability, and high data availability. To address the asset continuity issues brought by modular architecture, Oasys has proposed a new method of mirroring game assets from Layer2 to Layer1, ensuring that user assets remain protected even if Layer2 data is lost.
In terms of Layer 2 interoperability, Oasys plans to introduce cross-chain bridges, adopt a universal data format, and standardize APIs to achieve seamless communication between different Layer 2s. This will enable users to freely transfer data and assets between different games within the Oasys ecosystem.
To enhance the scalability of the ecosystem, Oasys works closely with partners to provide game developers with the necessary tools and resources. Among them, the Oasys Verse Development Kit (VDK) allows enterprises to quickly access preset ecosystem components, accelerating project initiation and content development.
The technical roadmap of Oasys is divided into two phases: short-term (within 1 year) and mid-term (2-3 years). The short-term goals include standardizing game asset specifications, creating practical use cases, and providing VDK. The mid-term goals focus on addressing protocol layer issues, achieving interoperability between Layer 2s, and providing developer tools.
In terms of practical applications, Oasys has made significant progress. In May of this year, Oasys launched the L2 chain XPLA Verse, and several well-known games will be on this chain. In addition, the blockchain game "Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-", adapted from a popular comic, has also officially launched on the Oasys platform.
In terms of ecosystem expansion, Oasys has partnered with Japan's SBI Group to enhance its influence in the Japanese crypto gaming and NFT market. In February of this year, Oasys also collaborated with South Korean internet giant Kakao's Web3 gaming division, Metabora SG, to support its entry into the Japanese market.
Through these technological innovations and strategic partnerships, Oasys is gradually realizing its vision of establishing a global standard for blockchain games, creating value for players and developers, while bringing new experiences and opportunities to the gaming industry.
