Oasys Public Chain Launches New Technology Roadmap, Focusing on Solving Three Major Challenges in Blockchain Gaming

Oasys public chain recently released a new technical roadmap aimed at addressing the major technical challenges currently faced by blockchain games. As a public chain focused on the gaming sector, Oasys is dedicated to building a bridge to Web3 for Web2 players and game companies.

The new roadmap focuses on three core areas: application data availability, layer two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability. These initiatives aim to address the key issues encountered in the development of blockchain games.

Technical Challenges of Blockchain Game Development and Oasys's Strategies to Address Them

Despite the rapid development stage of blockchain games and the ongoing enthusiasm for financing, there are still many technical bottlenecks. Oasys, as a representative project in the blockchain gaming field, has currently collaborated with several industry giants, and the ecosystem includes nearly 60 games. To further improve the technological infrastructure, Oasys has proposed three key measures:

1. Ensure the continuity of game assets

To address the issue of the lack of continuity of user assets under a modular architecture, Oasys proposes to mirror game assets from the second layer to the first layer to ensure permanent protection of the assets. Even if the second layer data is lost, user assets remain secure.

2. Enhance interoperability of layer two networks

The Oasys plan introduces cross-chain bridges, universal data formats, and standardized APIs to achieve seamless interoperability between different Layer 2 networks. This will enable users to freely transfer data and assets between games within the Oasys ecosystem.

3. Enhance the scalability of the ecosystem

Oasys works closely with ecological partners, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to support ecological construction and lower technical barriers. The Oasys Verse development kit (VDK) will help enterprises quickly deploy high-quality layer two networks and accelerate project launches.

Short-term and Medium-term Technical Planning

Oasys's technical roadmap is divided into two stages: short-term ( within 1 year ) and mid-term ( 2-3 years ).

short-term planning

  • Standardized Game Asset Specifications
  • Create practical application cases
  • Provide Oasys Verse development kit

Medium-term Planning

  • Solve protocol layer issues and achieve asset mirroring.
  • Develop standardized protocols to ensure interoperability between layer two networks.
  • Provide developer tools that align with the Oasys vision

Oasys has made progress in practical applications, recently launching the XPLA Verse Layer 2 chain and going live with several well-known games. In addition, Oasys has partnered with Japan's SBI Group and South Korea's Kakao subsidiary Metabora SG to further expand its influence in the Asian market.

With the gradual implementation of the technology roadmap, Oasys is steadily moving towards the goal of establishing a global standard for blockchain games, creating value for players and developers while also bringing new opportunities and experiences to the gaming industry.
