According to previous news, on August 5, Eastern Time, the US Treasury announced that it would auction a total of $100 billion in four-week Treasury bills on August 7, setting a record for the largest single issuance of this maturity. Currently, the total US federal debt amounts to $36.21 trillion, accounting for 123% of GDP, far exceeding the warning line set by the International Monetary Fund. Among them, the publicly held debt is $28.91 trillion, with short-term Treasury bills accounting for 21.29% and medium to long-term bonds accounting for 51.22%.
