According to information disclosed by relevant parties, Hamas has agreed to release 34 detainees in the first phase of the protocol, which was a key demand of Israel in the previous round of negotiations. Previously, Hamas refused to release 11 of the 34 men, but its position has since softened and it has agreed to release these 11 men as "people with poor health." At the same time, there are still sharp contradictions between Israel and Hamas on key issues such as achieving a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip.
